Cookie policy
Last updated 29 October 2026
Under the ePrivacy Regulations 2011 (S.I. No. 336 of 2011) we may store information on your device only if it is strictly necessary for a service you asked for, or with your consent. This page lists everything HorseFairs.ie stores.
Strictly necessary (no consent needed)

hf_s | HorseFairs.ie | Keeps you signed in and protects forms against forgery. Only set when you sign in or use a form. | 60 days |

| Turnstile storage | Cloudflare | Spam check on sign-in, submission and contact forms | Session |
Saved on your device for offline use (no consent needed)
When you use HorseFairs.ie, the app saves the calendar, pages you open and their images in your browser's storage (service worker cache) so they work without signal. We also remember, in local storage, if you closed the “Install the HorseFairs app” banner with ×, so it does not come back (hf_install_hidden, kept until you clear your browser data). If you turn on fair reminders, the area you chose is also remembered on the device (hf_reminders). Nothing here is sent to us, apart from the reminder settings you save. Clear it any time in your browser settings or by removing the app.
Advertising (only with your consent)
If ads are shown, Google AdSense and its partners may use cookies to show and measure ads. A consent message from Google (a certified consent platform) asks you first, and nothing is set until you choose. You can change your choice from the “Privacy and cookie settings” link that appears at the bottom of the page when ads are active. See how Google uses data.
Maps
Maps load tiles from OpenStreetMap when you scroll to a map. This does not set cookies, but your browser shares your IP address with the tile server to fetch them.
